ACADEMIC SUPPORT FOR LECTURER AND STUDENT THAT ENABLE FILE SHARING WEB BASED SYSTEM IN MEDAN

Abstract

Nowadays, the growth of the internet user has been increased. Internet become more popular and seems like daily needs. The university, colleges, school or even computer course started giving free access to this service. The service that gave by the internet service providers seems to be easiest from day to day. Internet service comes cheaper and cheaper so that the Internet can reach to many people even for individual use. People can connect to Internet all day long and anywhere by various kind of service, like broadband modem, dial-up modem, Wi-Fi hotspot or even using their hand phone. According to Internet Word Statistic, (at http://www.internetworldstats.com/stas.htm, accessed 25 October 2011), in March 2011, the biggest internet user in the world is in Asia. It reaches until 44, 2% users all over the world. Indonesia is the fourth of the top internet countries after China, India and Japan. The increases of the internet users in Indonesia reach until 1980% since 2000 (from 2.000.000 people become 39.600.000).
